The Nelson Arts Guide is launching in just over a week, so keep your eyes peeled. Before we got busy into the design of the guide, we worked with the Regional Art Guide Initiative in putting together a prospectus that detailed what guide would be like. It was aimed at potential stakeholders and sponsors, and encouraged them to jump on board both financially and enthusiastically.
Creating both printed and electronic copies, the prospectus was to hint at what the final book would be like, through its presentation and aesthetic. Incorporating large images of good photography, the prospectus balanced white space and text to make the information as easy to read as possible. This together made for a great little document that instilled confidence in the project, and was a great springboard into the design of the Nelson Arts Guide.
